Synopsis

Tora, a young girl from an affluent family, is raised by her grandfather (Dadu) and Lakshmi, the domestic help, as her busy parents remain distant. Her fascination with arithmetical story sums sparks curious conversations with Dadu, who introduces her to unseen social realities. Her days are filled with routine joys like, visiting the Tree-side Pond with Dadu, buying balloons from Wajed Uncle, counting workers downstairs, where mathematics seamlessly blends with her world. She believes in the reality of story sums, finding rhythm in numbers. But when COVID-19 strikes and lockdown upends her world, Dadu's passing leaves her with unanswered questions. Her relentless curiosity drives her to interrogate people resembling the characters from her sums leading to a startling discovery.
